Let’s pray before we go to First John. Father we thank you for the work that we are about to receive tonight, and I do believe that you are preparing people for more of you, and more of you, and more of you, and more and more of you. and we do pray that you would have your way tonight and your will would be done.
We do not want to limit you, but we want to say that you will would be done, and you will would be done at father, and we would just pray in the name of Jesus and we could come into your presence and have your way, and we do love you and we love you so much and we thank you for everything that you are about to do, and in Jesus name and amen and amen.
Now, and let’s just go right into the word, and were going to be going to First John, and let’s go to, oh, Lord, help me, verse seven, and let’s love one another for love is of God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God, if you do not love, you do not know God because God is love. Jeff: hi, I’m Pastor Jeff Lane, and I’m so happy to be with you tonight, and I love you all and I appreciate you. and I have been overwhelmed, and what a privilege it is to serve the Lord and the Savior. His grace and his mercy is unbelievable, and if you do not know him, you should. You have no idea what you are missing. Let’s pray.
Father we thank you for your word, we thank you for your grace and for your mercy. Lord you created everything, you have created us, and you have put us together in our mother’s womb, and you have ordained our days. You know, then you died and you rose from the dead and you shed your blood for us that we could know you, and we could come back to you, Father.
Lord, and you will pick us up, and you will use us, like a precious tool in your hands, to do your will. I believe you have your promises for us, and we have glory and riches untold. It is eternal life, Father. You said that you would give us a crown, and it would be from you, Lord. What can we do in response to this? We can simply lay it at your feet, and we know there is nothing that we have done but it is everything you have done. Tonight, Father we thank you for this, with all of our heart and with all of our soul and our being. I pray that you would open the hearts and minds, of our hearts and our ears. Jeff: hi, I’m Pastor Jeff Lane and there are many people that are requesting the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and I said, and if the Lord leads me, I would begin to teach you, and I’ll begin to teach you tonight.
If the Lord has me to teach something different, and do not get upset, and will do a little series, and it will take some time. but I want you to see the reason and the purpose for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and why, we have the Holy Spirit, and why we have things differently.
Now in the Old Testament, in the Old Testament, the Holy Ghost would come on the people, however, the Bible would say the word came to them and you see it, and the Holy Spirit came and maybe spoke to them or inspired them and then he would leave.
The Bible says, and he baptized Jesus in the Holy Ghost when he received the water baptism, and it remained on him, and that would be a big difference, and how the Holy Spirit was working in the Old Testament, and he came and he went and he came and he went, however now, he remains. But why is that? I’ll explain. Continue reading The Baptism of the Holy Ghost.→
